Tucson Weekly Endorses Bronson in General

The Tucson Weekly endorses Bronson in the general election this year saying, “In her 12 years in office, she has been a solid vote for protecting the fragile Sonoran Desert while balancing the inevitability of development. She helped the county find firm financial footing so it can weather the current economic downtown without needing to slash services for the people who need help the most. Happy Labor Day from Team Bronson
Monday, September 1st is Labor Day and the campaign will be out in full force. Bronson and team will be out walking door-to-door in the morning and then swinging by a couple of picnics in the afternoon. Labor Day is traditionally celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of summer but it’s important to remember the historic roots of Labor Day as a day to celebrate workers and their families. Team Bronson wishes you and yours a happy and safe Labor Day.

Election Day– September 2nd
Election Day is just four days away and we couldn’t be busier or more excited. Many voters have already mailed in their VBM ballots but there will be plenty of people hitting the polls on their way to and from work. We will be eating, drinking, and watching as the Primary Election results are announced. Terri’s home is located at 3960 W Placita De Castellon Tucson, AZ. To RSVP please call 743-7730.

District 3 Dynamo - Ellie Towne
Long time Flowing Wells resident, Ellie Towne, is this week’s District 3 Dynamo. Ellie has been working closely with Sharon’s office for many years and together they have worked on the revitalization of the Flowing Wells area. Examples of their great teamwork include the traffic signal at LaCholla and Curtis Road, to the Flowing Wells District Park, Curtis Neighborhood Park, the Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center, the Flowing Wells Library, the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Health Clinic, and numerous street lights and hydrants. Flowing Wells was the recipient of the 2007 All America City Award given by the National Civic League, proof positive that grassroots community efforts can make a difference! Thanks to Ellie for her support and all the great work she does on the behalf of her community.

Join Team Bronson and SEIU - August 24th and 25th

Team Bronson will be phone banking again this weekend and early next week. We’ve reserved the SEIU phone bank and need volunteers for Sunday, August 24th 4-7pm and Monday, August 25th 5-8pm. The election is just days away and we need your help to contact voters throughout the district. If you’re interested in helping us make these important voter contacts and need more information please email Terri at bronsonforsupervisor@gmail.com.

Vote-By-Mail and Early Voting

Thousands of people have already voted in District 3 primary and we’re still ten days away from Election Day. Most of the early voters have voted by mail but some have taken advantage of the early voting locations throughout town. Don’t forget the Primary is September 2nd and if you’re interested in early voting we can help. If you’re planning on voting at the polls but need a ride you can also contact us for help.

District 3 Dynamo — Rick Wicinski

We’re thrilled to announce Rick Wicinski as this week’s District 3 Dynamo. Rick is the current co-chair of the Amphi Neighborhood Association and long time supporter of Sharon. Rick has helped Bronson’s re-election campaign from the beginning by collecting signatures and has continued to help by distribute signs though out the community. Rick is a wonderful supporter and volunteer and we’re happy to have this important grassroots, neighborhood support. Thanks again to Rick for all his help!

We’re thrilled to announced the Tucson Citizen published their endorsement of Supervisor Sharon Bronson earlier this week saying, “Bronson…has served on the board since 1996, is steeped in all the specifics of county business and has performed competently and professionally during her long tenure. Branch-Gilby would be an excellent public servant. But this seat is taken, and its occupant serves us well. The Tucson Citizen endorses Sharon Bronson in the Sept. 2 Democratic primary for the Pima County Board of Supervisors seat in District 3.” Click here to read full story in the Citizen.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots Already Being Returned
Even though the Primary Election isn’t until September 2nd a lot of folks have already voted. Over 1,000 District 3 residents have already returned their VBM ballots and even more have received them and are planning on filling them out soon. If you would still like to request a VBM ballot or have questions about early voting please contact us ASAP.

District 3 Dynamo — Caz Robbins
Caz Robbins is an outstanding community activist and neighborhood leader. Caz has been a fundamental part of the Limberlost Neighborhood Association and has been a friend and supporter of Bronson for years. Caz and her family are doing their part in Bronson’s re-election campaign by helping distribute signs throughout the district. Caz is a great example of grass roots support and we’re glad to have her on board. Thanks again to Caz and her family for all their help!

Team Bronson Phone Banks with SEIU

Bronson and her campaign crew worked the phones all week long. That’s right…the campaign took it from the streets to our seats (in the SEIU phone bank). We packed the phone bank every night of the week and we were able to call voters throughout the district to remind them to vote in the September 2nd primary. We were overwhelmed with the outpouring of support for Bronson and would like to thank the Pima County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, SEIU, and all the other volunteers who helped on the phones this week.

District 3 Dynamo - Kevin Daily

Kevin Daily is a man who hardly needs an introduction. He’s the president of the governing board of the Flowing Wells School District, a founding member and former president of the Flowing Wells Neighborhood Association and Community Coalition, and long time supporter of Sharon Bronson. Kevin helped host the barbecue at the Flowing Wells District Park last weekend which was a huge hit. Thanks again to Kevin and all our friends in Flowing Wells for their continued support.

Party At Flowing Wells District Park This Saturday!

We’re throwing a party and you’re invited. Bronson’s re-election campaign is hosting a picnic in the park at the Flowing Wells District Park (5510 N Shannon Rd. Ramada #1) this SATURDAY, August 2nd, from 5:30-7:30pm.

The party is co-hosted by Dr. John Pedicone, Kevin Daily, Ellie Towne, and Jerry Long. This will be a great opportunity to meet Sharon, ask questions, and discuss the future of Flowing Wells. We hope you can join us for good conversation and free food!
